UK Commission for Employment and Skills
Established by Government in April 2008, the UK Commission for Employment and Skills is a key recommendation in Lord Leitch's 2006 review of skills. The aim of the Commission is to raise UK prosperity and opportunity by helping to develop world-class employment and skills systems in all four UK nations.
Blackwolds Consultancy was contracted as Commercial Advisor and worked with the Commission in producing its Commercial and Procurement policies and values. These were incorporated into a procedure manual and published on the Commissions intranet. Community Energy Solutions (CIC)
The CES Group was initially established in 2006 with funding from the Department of Trade and Industry and the regional development agencies One North East and Yorkshire Forward for work undertaken in their respective regions.
CES is a Community Interest Company (CIC) committed to assisting local authorities, housing associations and other partner organisations to deliver in their commitment to reducing fuel poverty, lowering carbon emissions and improving the standards of their housing stock.
Blackwolds Consultancy were contracted to assist CES in identifying suitable suppliers and partners to work with them in delivering their objectives. In a new developing market the process of identifying potential suppliers has involved successful application of the EU Competitive Dialogue Procedure. Renewables East
Renewables East is the renewable energy agency for Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex - the East of England. RE is also contracted to champion the offshore agenda in the East Midlands on behalf of the East Midlands Development Agency.
Blackwolds Consultancy provided guidance and advice on a major collaborative project which involved both RE and Community Energy Solutions.
